Industry Engagement (Template Suite)
This 'Industry Engagement' Template Suite provides RTOs with a framework that assists in capturing evidence and will provide guidance on the range of areas that require feedback from the industry for continued relevance and improvement. This Template Suite consists of three documents:
Industry Engagement Procedure Document [docx] - This document provides a structure, and starting point, for an RTO to ensure that there are adequate systems and activities in place.
Formal Industry Engagement Template [docx] - This template provides a detailed structure to ensure extensive feedback is sought from key stakeholders on an annual basis.
Informal Industry Engagement Matrix [xlsx] - This matrix helps RTOs to capture the smaller activities that occur on an ongoing basis, including phone calls, or feedback from a conference/trade show. These smaller activities can help to supplement more formal engagements ensuring that you are relevant in meeting the needs of the industry.

Product Purpose
Clauses 1.5 and 1.6 of the Standards for RTOs 2015 state that RTOs must be able to demonstrate that all strategies for training and assessment have been developed in response to information obtained through engaging with industry stakeholders.
There are several methods, both formal and informal, for which an RTO can undertake to prove that they have engaged with the industry. The key to compliance is ensuring that these activities are comprehensive, relevant, sufficiently captured and documented as evidence.
