What does a Digital Learning Developer do?

A Digital Learning Developer works alongside a Digital Learning Designer (also called an Instructional Designer) to develop, manage and maintain digital learning resources.

In this role, you develop digital resources based on a storyboard provided by a Digital Learning Designer. You then develop the content, selecting or creating images and videos along with other interactive elements, using software to author the content and set it up on the Learning Management System (LMS) ready for implementation.

What other roles would this apply to?

Many different organisations use different titles for this position, and the scope of the role varies between organisations as well. Some organisations will bundle up the developer and designer into one role (this is often the case). This qualification focuses on the practical development aspect as the designer role is less practical and delves more into learning theory.
